TOP 10 MAKEUP BRUSHES

I have a range of brushes, some I use more often than others. I have a core few that I use regularly because I love the job they do, some at very low prices!

Jumping right into it I'm going to start with my base. Now I only use one brush for applying my foundation/BB cream because this one does an amazing job! This is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush (part of a set). This brush makes applying foundation a dream, it gives a flawless finish, works the product so well into the skin and it doesn't take very long which is always a bonus! Also it doesn't leave the skin looking streaky which some other brushes do. This brush is a synthetic brush and is super easy to clean, like all of the other Real Techniques brushes! Well done Sam & Nic!

Next another face brush. This is again another Real Techniques brush, it is the Real Techniques Contour Brush (part of the set mentioned above). I love this brush for contouring (obviously), it gets under your cheek bones so well, it is a great shape, (slightly oval/tapered brush). It is so good at its job! But also a great multitask brush for highlighting the tops of your cheek bones! I wouldn't bronze with this brush, only contour, due to the size!

This is another bronzer brush. I found this brush set on Dress Link. It is a Tapered Kabuki Brush. I use this for bronzing. Because of its size it can get in the hollows of your cheek bones, but is also good for general bronzing! I will try find the link for these because they did come in a set of 5.

Concealer. I use another one from Dress Link, a smaller size to the face brushes, but the same cuts. This is a Angled Rounded Eye Brush. This is great for blending the concealer so it is seamless and doesn't look like you have a patch of white under your eye, then I go in with my ring finger to blend further. It is so soft and fits greatly under the eye area.

Next is a setting brush. I never really powder the whole of my face I only powder certain areas. I only really set my under eye concealer and T-zone. I actually use this brush for the wrong purpose. It's the Bobbi Brown Eye Blender Brush, I just find it fits really nicely under my eye when I set my concealer, and also when I set my T-zone it is good for that! It is a fluffy tapered brush so it is so so so good at setting (blending) specific areas. I love it, and I also love it to blend eyeshadows and for powder highlighter!

Brows. Everyone needs a good brow brush! I have the Pixi Lash&Brow Brush. This is basically a spoolie. You can't really say much about this, it combs through the brows well and thats it. What more can you expect from a brow brush!

Eyeshadows. For packing on the colour I like to the the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush (part of a set). It is a good size, a flat fluffy brush. Also it is good for blending but I tend to use something else. For blending I like to use from the eye shadow set I mentioned earlier, the Rounded Eye Brush, it is a great size for blending colours through the crease and a great all-rounder!

For applying eyeshadows to my lower lash line I like to vary it between two brushes. Both from the Real Techniques Eye Set (mentioned above), it's the Brow Brush and Accent Brush. I use the brow brush more for if I want to have a defined line, but if I want a smokeyer lower lash line I use the accent brush.

I know this isn't a brush but it is a tool! Eyelash curlers are a must for me, they lengthen and curl my lashes, I use the H&M Eyelash Curlers and mine are in rose gold. A staple every girl should have!

All these brushes wash so so well, they also dry back to their normal shape, if you want to see how I clean my brushes check out this post, and if you want to see the full version of the Dress Link brushes check out that post too.

What are your favourite brushes to use? Let me know.

Bye 'till next time! x
