Over the past few weeks I've been buying bits and pieces I want to share with you! There is a mix between beauty and skin care, drugstore and high end! Jumping straight in to things...
Lets get the TMI stuff out the way! So the spots have been an issue lately, especially around the chin area and forehead - which is strange for me - but anyway I've needed some of The Body Shop help!
Around 3 weeks ago I nipped in to The Body Shop to see if I could get a purifying cleanser to help clear up my skin. The ladies on all occasions were lovely and suggested for me to use the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Cleanser. It has truly done my face the world of good, it works!
A few days ago the face started to flare up! So I went back in and another really lovely lady helped me. She suggested me to use the Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask for Oily/Combination Skin. I am yet to try this but she said she suffered with acne and this cleared her right up. So look out in the near future for my thoughts on this.
Finally from The Body Shop is the Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Makeup Remover. I have the silky cleansing oil to the camomile range which also takes off my makeup but it just breaks me out and thats the last thing I want it to do. I've been on the hunt to switch up my eye makeup remover and I'm looking forward to try this. ...It also facinates me how it is half oil and half water and you have to mix it...
Thats skin care over now.
Two things drugstore. I have now declared it is officialy autumn in Leeds. Now autumn is here it's all about the bold berry lip. I ventured out to Boots and bought the well known Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 107. Most people know this lipstick, especially if you reguarly read blogs and watch Youtube. A traditional dark red berry colour to wear with a simple eye and black liner. You could wear this lipstick both blotted out if you don't want to go all out so it is more of a stain or you could be brave and go all out.
The second drugstore product is a palette. I haven't heard many people talk about this brand but if they have it is because the have a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, as I already have this palette I bought the nude shade one. This brand is W7. I thought I would buy the In The Buff Natural Nudes palette. The palette is mainly shimmers, both warm and cool toned shades - mainly consisting of light and dark browns. There are only 2 matte shades but in the autumn it is nice to have a little bit of summer shimmer on your lids. With the nice selection of 12 shades you could dress up and down any look all in one palette. The colours are all so pigmented and the fall out is so little compared to the Naked 3 Palette.
Recently for my birthday I was bought a MAC voucher and I've waited from May to use it. It was my mums birthday the other week and I bought her a voucher because we could go together and I know she would enjoy it. So we had a 30 minute makover which was so good! During the 30 minutes the makeup artist focused on whichever part of your face you wanted. I chose eyes/eyebrows and I'm so happy I did.
What she used:
Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Let Me Pop - Lid up to brow
Eye Shadow in Texture - Through the crease
Fluidline in Dipdown - Thick line with a thin wing
Extended Play Gigablack Lash - Top and bottom lashes
Eyebrow Pencil in Fling - Eyebrows
What I bought:
Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Let Me Pop
Eye Shadow in Texture
Extended Play Gigablack Lash
The mascara is fabulous. If you want length and no clumps this is for you! The wand is slim and long and the bristles are so sturdy so you can get to the root of your lash and pull up to give you the most amazing false lash effect.
The paint pot is a gorgeous shimmer based eye cream which acts like a primer - preventing creasing, smudging etc. The colour is a warm bronze/orange colour but when you put it on the lid it has an amazing flex.
Lastly the single eyeshadow. This colour is less shimmery. It's more darker than the paint pot and when it is blended in to the crease it really finishes off the look. It is such a lovely autumn colour.

And that concludes the haul! What would you like to see next? Leave all suggestions below, if you have any!
See you very soon!
