DECEMBER FAVOURITES | I'M BACK

Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. I haven't blogged lately, I'm not too sure why but I'm back now, for good.

This month I've experimented with brow products, discovered new lip colours and introduced new fragrances into my dressing table!

Firstly, base. I have two products. At the start of the month I went to the Clothes Show and bought a few goodie bags which included a range of both sample and full size products. The one that caught my eye was the Rimmel BB Cream. I've always loved the concept of a BB cream, something that gives you a little coverage when you don't want to wear a full on foundation. This BB cream is matte which is great for people with more oily/combination skin. The reason why I love this so much is because it doesn't cling to dry patches and make them more visible, which sometimes my foundations do. An all rounder goodie!

Next, concealer. At first I never liked the Rimmel concealer, I thought it was too glittery and didn't like the way it applied. However recently I have rekindled my love with it! I find it gives my under-eye area a nice glow and it makes me look like I have had 3 more hours sleep! Although it doesn't have a very high coverage, it manages to reduce the darkness and add some brightness to the area.

Something that has also really been helping my foundation/concealer apply flawlessly is by using a damp makeup sponge. By using this I find that my foundation doesn't cling to dry patches, because of the dampness of the sponge, but it also blends so well! I haven't picked up a foundation brush for weeks, is that bad?!

Another rekindled love product! I love all of Urban Decay products, but the Flushed Palette is a winner for me. When I first got this palette I found the bronzer was too warm and orange and I wasn't that experienced with makeup. As months have passed I've gotten more confident with it. Especially the bronzer, I find it gives me the perfect 'bronzeness', I can either go all out and make it look like I've been to Barbados for a month but also can give a subtle glow, which I love! The highlighter also is a great powder version for my next favourite!

I was scrolling through Asos before Christmas looking for gifts for my friends when I stumbled across a great bargain! £9.50 for Benefit a mini liquid highlighter and blush! I quickly added that to my basket as trying new products is something I love and I also cannot get enough of highlighter! I find High Beam to be a pinky/pearly highlighter, totally easy to apply and leaves you looking glowing and so healthy. It looks even better paired with the powder highlighter from the Urban Decay Palette

Finally two brow products that I've totally fallen in love with. (I was going to put head over heels, but that sounded slightly over dramatic.) Firstly is a brow pencil, apparently a good dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz?! I don't know. This pencil has such a fine nib which is great for drawing in those 'hairs' in the sparse areas and also comes with an amazing spoolie! The other thing that goes hand in hand with it is a brow gel. My past experience with brow gels hasn't been great, they've always made my eyebrows all stick together and go hard and crispy. This drugstore tinted brow gel with fibres works so well with the pencil to make my brows look fuller and thicker and give them some colour, and by the end of the day my brows are how I left them in the morning. This also works great by itself when you can't be bothered drawing your brows in.

That is it for this post, would you be interested in a makeup storage/collection post, which will include lots of photos and minimum writing?

I hope you're having a lovely day, I'm now on holiday so I will writing lots of posts and scheduling them for when I'm back at school.

Bye for now!
