Just a quick note before you carry on reading this, my blog is one year old today! Happy Birthday!
Usually when you ask someone what their first Mac product was, they'll tell you it was a lipstick. Mac lipsticks come in all different colours, finishes and textures. However there are cheaper alternatives on the market.

Topshop's beauty range is very affordable but good quality, and again their lipsticks come in many different shades.
The two that are comparable are Mac Lipstick in Faux which is a satin finish and Topshop Lipstick in Naturist. Now these two lipsticks are not identical but similar in many ways. They are both creamy finishes but Faux is slightly matter and more pigmented than Naturist. They are both very comfortable lipsticks and very moisturising on the lips so you're lips are definitely not left dry after the pigment has worn away. However Naturist doesn't last on the lips as long as it is creamier and more slippy but it's the type of colour which doesn't require lipliner so it can be easily reapplied. I would say that Naturist has more of a glossier finish as it isn't as matte at Faux but Faux still isn't totally matte. Faux is more of a pink nude and Naturist is a brown nude, but when both on the lips Naturist is more sheer so your natural lip colour shines through making them look so similar. These two lipsticks look totally poles apart when you swatch them side by side on your hand but as I said when both applied to the lip, you can't tell.
Another bonus is that Mac lipsticks are £15.50 and Topshop lipsticks are £8 so nearly half the price which is a bargain as Topshop lipsticks are such good quality! I really reccomend going to look at your nearest Topshop and taking a trip to the beauty section as they have some real gems in the range, which some of them I've mentioned throughout my blog!
