The Body Shop Slanted Brush
Real Techniques Sculpting Brush
Hello! Today I'm going to show you everything I've bought over the past couple of months, some bits you may have seen on my blog recently, others not. Also I'll be giving mini reviews on each product, plus my newest makeup from Polly who's behind Sighh Designs, so stick to the end to hear my thoughts!
Firstly The Body Shop were doing a 3 for two so I bought a primer, bronzer and brush. The primer is very comparable to the Benefit Porefessional in texture. This primer really helps to keep your foundation in place all day and really helps to combat oil, so if you're an oily gal do check this out! Also if you do have dry skin, do consider this because it really smooths out the skin to give an even base for foundation. Next I got the Honey Bronzer which I love! Now when you go in to the shop the colours look very pale... But don't be fooled by that! They are aimed at paler skin tones and are good for beginners as its not too warm toned and doesn't look harsh on the skin, but is buildable. Also it can be used for a bronzer or a contour so it've very versatile. Finally I got an angled brush which is great for both brows and gel liner.
Next I got the new Real Techniques Sculpting brush which is amazing for contouring and as it suggests - sculpting out the face.
Now for face products. My Rimmel concealer ran out so I decided to get a Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 to highlight the face. I really love this, it is by far the best drugstore high coverage concealer! Recently I fell back in love with my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation as my skin has become dryer as I'm on medication for my acne (WHICH IS WORKING!). So when I wear foundation I need a hydrating one which doesn't eccentuate my dry patches, but I needed a new foundation so I was reccommended by my best friend to buy the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, I haven't yet tried this, but I might do a review in the near future if you'd like that?
As spring is coming I really want to start wearing blush and get in to it as I can never get to grips with it, so I thought I'd give it a go. A couple of weeks ago me and my friend were shopping and I saw the Rimmel blushes and thought that a soft pink could be a good way to step in to the blushes. I really love it! It's a really nice soft peachy pink, which is super pigmented and great for its price! More recently I picked up Max Factor's new launch, their Creme Puff Blush (which is powder, not cream) in Alluring Rose. This shade really caught my eye because I love my bronzer and this colour is a soft pink and bronze colour in a marble effect, which I thought was really nice and would look really nice in the spring, so I bought it! Plus it's so pigmented!
My next compact is a YSL powder, which I cant find anywhere as it was sent to my sister, but she gave it to me. It has 4 shades, a contour colour, blush, highlight then a bright orange colour. I have't tried this yet because it's too pretty to wreck, but its really pigmented and I love it.
Last for the face is this amazing palette I mentioned recently on my blog. It is from Makeup Revolution and it is a bronzing palette. It has 3 shimmer bronzers and 3 matt contour colour, which are all super pigmented, then two marble colours, one a darker shade and another a lighter highlighter shade. Absolutely adore this! Plus it comes with a huge mirror, whats not to love?!
For lashes I got a sample of the Benefit Roller Lash, which I LOVE! It really holds the curl and I don't have to use lash curlers! Really dig this. I was never keen on the They're Real, but this does it for me!
Finally two lipsticks that you might've seen if you read my first lipstick collection post. The first one is from Soap&Glory and it is a matt berry shade similar to Rimmel 107. And then my newest Mac lipstick in Velvet Teddy. I have been hunting this lipstick down for months and finally came back in stock online. This is a matt, non drying, 70's classic nude! It goes perfectly with a dark smokey eye, or a simple look!
Now what you've all been waiting for! My makeup bag. I've been eyeing up this makeup bag for a while now and finally decided to buy it, a girl can't have too many right? This makeup bag is from Sighh Designs. If you've never heard of this then Polly, who hand draws all these lovely designs started using her designs and putting them on phone cases/makeup bags/laptop skins/mugs, you name it! These bags are such good quality, both inside and out are made from material that makes them waterproof. Not in that way, but if you get makeup on it, it wipes off easily with a makeup wipe. Also, all the products I've talked about in this post all fit in this bag with room, and it fits the Naked Palettes in! It is the perfect size, not too small, not too big, I really love it. I chose a black and white striped pattern which is plain and classic, which I like, and might have to purchase the matching phone case or laptop skin in the near future! Definitely check out her website here.
That's it for this week! Bye for now!
E x
