Urban Decay Naked Palette |
It's July! Whaattt! It's nearly summer so a summery post is necessary.
I’m back with a look through my travel makeup bag. As I was on holiday recently and I thought it would be a great opportunity to show you the makeup I’ve brought along with me. This is not going to be in any order, just as I pick the products out of my makeup bag. The makeup bag I used was the Sighh Designs Cross Stich Makeup Bag, which I reviewed in a post here.
Firstly my trusty Urban Decay Naked Palette, loads of eyeshadows, loads of choice! Not much to say really but you can create really summery looks so I took this.
Next I took my Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Alluring Rose, this is a bronze blush with a hint of pink and great for the warmer months as it gives both a bronze and blushed look to the cheeks.
I also brought my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder because there is nothing worse than unflattering sweat/shine in the heat!
For eyeliner I packed the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner. This is great for creating either a dramatic wing or a simple classic thin line.
I took two mascaras, two that I absolutely love! The Mac Extended Play Gigablack Lash and Benefit Roller Lash. Two must haves!
The L’Oreal Brow Artrist Plumper and Soap and Glory Brow Archery are another two products I cannot do my brows without, they have to come everywhere!
To prime and neutralise my skin I took the Bare Minerals Prime Time, this is a neutralising primer so it’s yellow. This reduces redness and really helps to the decrease the appearance of sunburn etc.
To cover up those dark circles and illuminate the area you can never go wrong with the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer, which I actually need to repurchase soon.
For highlighter I packed two products. The Topshop Glow in Polished for a champagne more intense highlight and then the Benefit Watts Up Highlighter for a bronze glow to intensify my tan. Both two creamy products.
Base wise I took my Garnier BB Cream, this gives a little coverage and evens out skin tone, I never want anything too heavy on holiday and this was perfect.
I took two products for bronzing and contouring. The Nars Laguna Bronzer and Sleek Contour Kit in Light (which was a present from one of my friends for my birthday - thanks Emma!) I specifically took these because with the Nars one I can bronze but with the Sleek one I can really chisel my cheeks out as its completely matte. And it comes with a powder highlight which is a bonus!
Finally for lips I took three lipsticks, because I girl needs options right?! I took Mac Velvet Teddy as a matte nude option, Topshop Naturist for a creamy ‘something there’ lipstick. Then lastly Topshop Ditsy as a red/orange option. I think they might have discontinued these two Topshop lipsticks because I can't find them anywhere but they do very similar alternatives you can find on their website.
That is it for now!
Bye for now.
