I thought for this post I'd do a bronzey coloured eye make up look which really makes blue eyes pop! I'm jumping straight in to this because it could be a long one!
Face Products First:
Firstly time to prime the face. A good primer that will lock your foundation and extend the wear of your face make up but also with SPF 20 so you're protected for the sun. It also mattifies skin which is great for people with combination/oily skin. Then next a foundation which has a medium coverage which is buildable. The medium coverage won't distract you from the bronze eye, it will be very natural and go with the look. For concealer you want something that is brightening which will also help make the eyes pop. The radiant anti fatigue effect makes the under eyes super bright and clean - it doesn't crease and sits so well under the eyes. To apply the foundation and concealer I use a damp sponge which gives you such an amazing flawless and non cakey face.
For bronzer you want something subtle so Laguna bronzer would be perfect. It goes very well with the bronze eye and doesn't contrast with it, the bronze tones help make the eye's stand out further. To apply this I use a a flat fluffy brush which is so easy to contour with and bronze. When it comes to blusher anything too bright will not go with the eye, a peach/muted pink on the tops of your cheek bones will give a nice flush. This blusher is extremely pigmented and buttery like, it gives the cheek a lovely colour. I also use the same brush to apply my blusher as the bronzer one. Finally for they face a lovely irodecsent glowing highlighter. This glow pot has a beautiful peachy/green (strange but beautiful I know) hint to it and it look so amazing on the high points on your face! To apply this I use a pointed foundation brush as I always find this blends it in the best.
Next Eye Products:
I would advise to prime the eyes just to make sure your eyeshadow doesn't crease or smudge. For a base I use a cream shadow which will also hold the shadows on top too, but the shadow is a bronze colour so it is a good start for the eye makeup. I apply this with my ring finger on my lid and blend it out to the crease. Next I blend a darker brown colour in the outer corner and blend in to the crease to intensify the eye. Next I use my Naked Palette* which I bought from Feel Unique (more about that later) to finish off the eyes. I use the shade Smog on the centre of my eye to just pack on more colour then Half Baked on the inner third to illuminate the eye. Finally Virgin on the inner corn to further highlight. I use the brush that comes with this palette, to blend things in to the crease I use the fluffy side and to pack on the inner highlight I use the flat dense side.
To finish off the eyes I use a black liquid liner and create a very slim line to make my lash line appear thicker and fuller, which I love the outcome of! Then I use a white soft kohl liner on my lower water line to brighten up the eyes. Next I curl my lashes and apply tonnes of lengthening mascara to open up my eyes. Finally for brows I fill them in not too harshly then apply tinted brow gel to keep them in place all day!
Final Products:
For lips I have a complete dupe to Mac's Faux lipstick. Topshop have a wide range of lipsticks and I found a slightly darker one and I love it! It is Topshop Lipstick in Naturist but you'll have to wait till my next post to see it in action!
Last but not least I spray my face with setting spray to ensure my makeup doesn't slide off my face throughout the day.
Products marked with a * are all products bought from Feel Unique. Feel Unique is a great website which is like a beauty directory! It sells both highend and drugstore makeup with free deliver over £10 I believe. Their delivery is great and any issues and complaints are always dealt with professionally and quickly. If you can't be bothered to go in to a shop and buy your makeup, have it delivered to your door in 3-7 working days. Perfect!
That it is! Check next week for two lipsticks going head to head in a review!
